The SPCA in Happy Valley-Goose Bay is in desperate need of funds and it’s looking to the public for help.
Vice President Bonnie Learning says COVID has had a huge impact on their ability to raise funds and while they have held a couple of recent fundraisers, including auctions and ticket sales, it isn’t enough.
Learning says demands are high including vet bills, supplies, and employee wages. She says it they are unable to pay their employees then they will have no choice but to close their doors.
The animals in need of help keep coming. She says since January, they’ve had over 350 animals come to their shelter doors.
Details on how to make a donation can be found at the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Facebook page,
