Police are investigating a theft of copper wire after stopping a vehicle on a walking trail in Corner Brook.
The RNC spotted the vehicle driving along the downtown trail around 3:30 Monday morning.
Further investigation led to the discovery of various lengths of copper wire and wire-cutting tools inside.
The driver was taken into custody pending further investigation, and issued a ticket under the Highway Traffic Act.
