The NLC is seeing continued double-digit growth in the legal cannabis market.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation is reporting sales through its licensed retailers of $15.2 million dollars in the final quarter of the fiscal year 2022.
That’s an 8.5 per cent increase over the same period in 2021.
Total retail cannabis sales for the 2022 fiscal year increased by 17.2 per cent over the previous year to $61 million.
CEO Bruce Keating calls the increase in sales encouraging, noting that the overriding objective is to cut out the black market and provide customers with safe, secure access to cannabis.
