A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged after police say he was found in possession of two stolen dirt bikes.

Deer Lake RCMP arrested Blair William Summers, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, in St. Jude’s, and found him in possession of two dirt bikes, reported stolen from Frenchman’s Cove on the Burin Peninsula.

RCMP say the bikes were stolen from a garage in Frenchman’s Cove sometime between July 6 and July 9 when the owners were away.

Police arrested Summers, wanted on charges of break and enter into a business in Dildo and a parole violation at a commercial residence in St. Jude’s on July 15.

Summers has been remanded to custody pending a court appearance August 2 on charges of possession of property obtained by crime.
