There were some tense moments in the centre city area of St. John’s last night but all ended without further incident.
Calls into the RNC at about 9:30 p.m. mentioned weapons at a residence, but after officers determined that no weapons were involved, they arrested a man for assault, break and enter, uttering threats and breach of a peace bond.
The 29-year-old was held for court today.
