A woman who had a bit too much to drink found herself in the lock-up after a number of incidents in the capital city’s downtown.

RNC received a complaint about an intoxicated woman in the Military Road area just after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

The 31-year-old was heavily intoxicated and difficult to deal with. During the investigation, someone approached officers saying they had been assaulted by that same woman.

Police were able to link her to the assault, as well as a theft from a nearby business.

She was held for court on charges of assault, breech of probation, and theft under $5,000.
