Health Minister Tom Osborne is offering assurances today that in no way were LPNs willfully omitted from a recent National Nursing Week proclamation.
Osborne told VOCM Open Line this morning that the proclamation signing in question was an RNU initiative recognizing their members specifically.
Osborne says government recognizes the contributions of Licenced Practical Nurses and what they bring to the nursing profession as a whole.
“Both myself and the premier did a video which was put out I think on Monday….recognizing nursing in general. Because nursing does include practical nurses, registered nurses and licenced practical nurses.”
