Six commercial vehicles were taken off the road this week as the result of a highway enforcement checkpoint on the ramp in Stephenville.
RCMP say eight commercial vehicles were inspected, and forty-five deficiencies were identified.
As a result, six of the eight vehicles were removed from service.
Tickets were issued under the Highway Traffic Act, the Highway Traffic Trip Inspection Regulations, Highway Traffic Hours of Service Regulations, and Highway Traffic Vehicle Regulations.
Tickets issued included operating a vehicle with an expired driver’s licence, failing to produce or complete a pre-trip inspection, failing to complete a daily logbook and failing to obtain a special permit.
