Metro police need help in getting to the bottom of a three-vehicle collision at a busy intersection during the morning rush hour yesterday.

Shortly after 8 a.m. a pickup truck struck a vehicle, sending it crashing into another vehicle at the intersection of Topsail Road and Dunn’s Road in Mount Pearl.

RNC say the three people inside the multi-coloured Chevy Silverado took off on foot before first responders arrived. A search by the police dog found items believed to have been discarded by the trio, but the suspects were not located.

Police are now asking for any dashcam or CCTV footage from the area in the time leading up to and following the collision.

The drivers of the two other vehicles involved were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
