The inaugural Alex Newhook and Friends Charity Golf Classic is in the books with over $113,000 raised for a number of causes.
Newhook and his hockey pals took to the links at Bally Haly on Tuesday, carrying on the annual charity golf tournament tradition started by the late broadcasting legend and St. John’s native, Bob Cole.
Money raised from the event will be spread out amongst several local charities including Iris Kirby House and the Cancer Care Foundation.
