Mount Pearl Deputy Mayor Nicole Kieley has announced her bid for the Liberal Party nomination in the federal riding of Cape Spear.
Kieley has served as Executive Director of Women in Resource Development and the NL Sexual Assault Crisis and Prevention Centre, as well as special advisor to the premier.
Kieley, recently an above-knee amputee, says her experience has strengthened her commitment to diversity, inclusion and advocacy. She wants to bring fresh perspectives to Ottawa.
Victoria Belbin, former executive officer of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association NL, has already announced her intentions to seek the nomination, with former long-time MHA Tom Osborne considering a run as well.
