The Mount Pearl-Paradise Skating Club’s Open Starlites took first place at the 2025 Skate Canada Cup, winning the national open category with a score of 200.82 points. The competition, held in Waterloo, Ontario, saw over 650 athletes from 41 teams across Canada.
Les Suprêmes from Saint-Léonard, Quebec, finished second with 187.77 points, while Élite Synchro from Pierrefonds, Quebec, placed third with 184.53 points.
The competition included athletes from the Mount Pearl-Paradise Skating Club. In addition to the Open Starlites, the club’s Novice Starlites and Gold Starlites teams competed in the novice and gold categories, while the Prince of Wales Skating Club’s Synergy Novice and Gold Teams also vied for national titles.
