A candidates’ forum for those running in Cape Spear which was scheduled for this evening has been cancelled in favour of written statements on urban Indigenous issues.

First Light held a similar forum earlier this week involving the candidates in St. John’s East.

First Light says tonight’s event was meant to give candidates an opportunity to speak directly to the priorities of the urban Indigenous community in St. John’s.

Tonight’s event has been cancelled due to candidate availability. All those running in the riding are being invited to provide written responses to the questions that would have been asked. Those responses will be published in full and unedited on First Light’s website as they are received.
