Three men have been arrested after two firefighters were shot at outside the Stephenville Fire Station Tuesday evening.

RCMP were called to the fire hall around 7:20 Tuesday evening after three men in a black Honda Civic fired an airsoft style rifle or BB gun at two firefighters standing outside the building, striking one in the head.

The suspect car was located a short time later and the three men were arrested.

Three air soft guns were also located, and seized.

The trio are each facing charges of assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The investigation continues and further charges are possible.
