A teenager and his parent have been charged following illegal ATV activity in Paradise.
On Wednesday, the RNC conducted a covert enforcement operation in the town with the help of municipal enforcement.
Just after lunchtime, officers noticed illegal operation in the area of McNamara Drive.
Officers, dressed in plain clothes, were able to detain the 15-year-old boy who was driving.
He has been charged with operating an off-road vehicle on a highway without a license, and operating an unregistered vehicle.
Cst. James Cadigan of the RNC says the boy’s parent has also been charged regarding unsupervised operation of an ATV and allowing the boy to have an uninsured vehicle.
“We’re going to be continuing these covert-style operations along with our usual marked police car operations to hone in on this type of illegal activity in certain problems areas,” says Cadigan.
