A wanted man with a lengthy history of run-ins with the law has been taken into custody.
A police operation in Port Saunders on Thursday failed to result in any arrests, so the RCMP search for 33-year-old Tyler James Melvyn Bennett continued.
RCMP confirmed last night that Bennett had been arrested.
In 2024, Bennett was the subject of an extensive police search after escaping from custody in Stephenville. He was later recaptured.
