Members of the Exploits Search and Rescue team responded to a medical emergency yesterday at a popular swimming hole in the Grand Falls-Windsor area yesterday.
A young person was safely evacuated from the area of Leach’s Brook, Second Falls with the help of RCMP, health care paramedics and the Rope Rescue team.

The patient was taken to a waiting ambulance for medical care.
The extent of the injuries suffered is not immediately known.
