Paradise native Gavin Baggs has captured gold at the Canada Games in the 1,500 metre wheelchair race.

This is Baggs’ second medal of the games, having won silver in para swimming during week one.

Baggs says the result was unexpected given that he had to compete in the wind and the rain, but calls winning gold for Team NL an “absolute honour.”
