The Mayor of Paradise is not at all pleased with government’s decision to nix plans for a new hospital complex for Kenmount Crossing.
Patrick Martin says he and council believe the hospital would have provided direct benefits to the town and would have addressed traffic congestion in and out of one of the province’s fasted growing communities.
“We have some major issues with the traffic on Topsail Road,” he told the Tim Powers Show on VOCM. “That’s one issue that would have been solved with the connections and access points.’
The other issue is related to water pressure. “They were supposed to…have a water tower connected to the hospital and…this would have solved a lot of issues for…our residents.”
