The RNC is taking to social media with weekly posts to dispel some misbeliefs among the public about what is and isn’t legal.

Any number of misinterpretations can be spread through TV shows and other means, so law enforcement plans take to social media every Friday.

RNC Cst. Steph Myers says the “Fact or Fiction” feature begins this week.

“The majority of people seem to think that you have to wait for 24 hours before reporting that someone is missing,” says Cst. Myers. “That’s not the case. You can report a person missing at any point and an officer will field that complaint.”
