The spring session resumes today in the House of Assembly following a two-week long Easter break, and the big question left looming is around when the provincial budget will be tabled.
Last week, premier Tony Wakeham indicated that finance minister Craig Pardy will give a date for the budget this week in the legislature.
This will be the PC government’s first budget since taking office last fall, with many wondering how promises made in the blue book will translate to the fiscal plan.
When the budget is tabled, it will be the latest a budget has been introduced since 2021 when things were delayed due to the COVID pandemic.
Proceedings in the House of Assembly begin this afternoon at 1:30.
