A 46-year-old man has been charged after police were called to a supermarket in Carbonear.
RCMP responded to Powell’s Grocery Store after an employee witnessed a man taking merchandise from the store without paying.
The suspect, who was located by police as he was leaving the store, was arrested without incident.
The man, who is from Harbour Grace, was charged with theft and was released to appear in court at a later date.
