Police caught a man in the act yesterday after being called about a person stealing merchandise from a store in the east end of St. John’s.
Security guards told RNC officers that the man was still in the store, which is located on Stavanger Drive.
When officers confronted the 34-year-old, he had stolen items still on his person.
He was charged accordingly and released with a future court date.
