Two men are facing charges after a traffic stop on the Northern Peninsula led to the seizure of cocaine and other drug-related items.
Port Saunders RCMP pulled a vehicle over for driving at speeds of up to 113 km/h in a 90 km/h zone near the town.
RCMP determined that the passenger, 66-year-old Faron Bugden was on a court-imposed condition to stay away from the driver, 56-year-old Scott Lavers.
Bugden was arrested for failing to comply with an undertaking.
In the meantime, a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure, of suspected cocaine, pills, cash and items consistent with drug trafficking.
Lavers was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, and failure to comply with a probation order.
He was released to appear in court in July. RCMP say further charges are possible.
