A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a disturbance outside a home in St. Lunaire on the weekend.

St. Anthony RCMP were contacted around 11:30 Friday night and attempted to arrest Jonathon Learning.

Police say Learning resisted arrest and assaulted an officer before running away.

A warrant for his arrest was obtained and police located Learning the following afternoon.

He was charged with assault with a weapon, assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, and four counts of failing to comply with a release order.

He’s been held in custody pending his next court appearance.
