A 22-year-old with only his permit in hand is facing several tickets after speeding along Commonwealth Avenue in Mount Pearl last night.

Police spotted the motorcycle around 11:30, speeding past officers at 102 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

Officers managed to pull over the bike, only to learn the man did not have a full license and was supposed to have a second driver with him.

His bike has since been impounded, and he was ticketed for speeding and for having a permit without an accompanying driver.
