A Goulds family got the fright of their lives last night at their home on Della Drive when a large rock smashed through their living room picture window, sending glass everywhere.
Andrew Rees, his wife and child were watching TV just after 9:00 when the loud bang startled everyone, leaving them all perplexed as to what had just happened.
“It was a big rock and it just missed my wife’s face when it came through the window,” Rees said in an interview with VOCM News. “I first thought a light fixture had let go.”
It took out a large centre-pane of glass which he taped up for the night.
His home security video shows it happened at 9:13. A person in a blue track suit can be seen running from the scene.

Andrew says it had to be a random attack as his family does not engage in any high-risk activity.
He told VOCM News that it all made for a fitful night.
“I never even slept last night. We’re hard-working people and we’re not in conflict with anyone,” he said.
The RNC were called, but nobody has yet been arrested.
Rees is asking anyone who has information or footage to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
