RCMP seized suspected cocaine and contraband tobacco following the recent search of a vehicle in Harbour Main.
The vehicle was pulled over on Harbour Drive just before 8:00 last Tuesday night.
Five people, four men and one woman, were arrested after officers observed unstamped tobacco in the vehicle.
A further search also turned up a quantity of suspected cocaine, items consistent with drug trafficking and open alcohol.
Police allege that one passenger, 38-year-old Kayla Marie Owens, was in possession of suspected cocaine and other items, and failed to comply with their commands.
She has been charged with resisting or obstructing an officer and failing to comply with her probation. She appeared in court on Friday.
According to RCMP, the driver of the vehicle, a 44-year-old Seal Cove man, was driving with a suspended license. He received another suspension and the vehicle was impounded.
The investigation continues with more charges possible.
