A 19-year-old has been charged after a disturbance this morning in an east end neighbourhood.

Police received numerous calls around 8:00 this morning about an altercation involving a man wielding a machete.

A man matching the description of the suspect was located on Penney Crescent while another man involved was found by officers at a nearby home.

The men knew each other. There were no injuries but a vehicle was damaged.

The machete, which had been discarded during the scuffle, was found by officers.

Brayden Burbridge is facing charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and property damage.
