That long lineup at the Health Sciences this morning was the result of a combination of factors and is unlikely to see a repeat.
The hospital experienced unanticipated staff leave in the registration department along with a higher-than-average number of people presenting for appointments.
Eastern Health says quick action was taken to reassign staff to assist with registration and screening. The lineup was addressed by mid-morning.

Eastern Health is reviewing the screening, registration, and lineup procedures at each facility as fall and winter approaches to ensure the efficient movement of people into their facilities and away from unfavourable weather conditions.
They also remind people not to arrive for appointments more than ten minutes prior.
