Police have taken a person into custody following an incident that resulted a number of roads being closed to the public on Thursday afternoon.
RCMP descended on a neighbourhood following reports of shots fired in the area. Residents were asked to remain inside their homes for several hours as officers contained the incident.
Shortly before 5:30 p.m., police reported that a person was safely taken into custody.
Residents are allowed to leave their homes once more as RCMP say there is currently no threat to public safety.
