Canada has secured a second agreement for doses COVID-19 vaccines.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada is set to receive up to 168,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine before the end of December, pending Health Canada approval.
The doses are part of the guaranteed 40 million the government has secured from Moderna, and deliveries could begin within 48 hours of regulatory approval.
He says as with the Pfizer vaccine, Moderna’s vaccine will bring Canadians closer to being completely protected. He also says that the regulatory process is still ongoing, however, any vaccine approved will be safe and effective.
