To date, the provincial government had paid out just over $1-million through its Artist Support Program.
The initiative was started back in November to support artists and musicians impacted by COVID-19
Since then, 260 applications have been received.
Applications are still being accepted until January 29.
Applicants must meet the criteria of a professional artist, as outlined in the Status of the Artist Act and must have experienced a loss of at least 25 per cent in opportunities and earnings since March 16 of last year.
