There are no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province, leaving three active cases in Newfoundland and Labrador.
That’s thanks to the fact that residents are taking public health measures seriously says Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald.
She thanked people for taking public health measures seriously over the Christmas holiday and those who chose not to travel at this time.

Officials in Sheshatshiu are meeting with government today over some of their frustrations with the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
Premier Andrew furey says he spoke with Chief Eugene Hart earlier today, and says Health Minister John Haggie and Minister Lisa Dempster will be meeting with Chief Hart and public health officials to discuss their concerns.
Furey encourages continued patience as the vaccine rollout continues.
