The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred overnight in CBS.

Shortly before 1 a.m., police were called to a service station along the CBS highway. They say a man entered the business, stated he was armed with a weapon and demanded cash. He fled the scene in a vehicle.

The suspect is described as 5’9″, approximately 30 years old, with brown hair. At the time he was wearing a dark coloured jacket with black jeans. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a dark coloured sedan.

Anyone with information, including dashcam or CCTV footage from the area, is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
