The federal government has acquired 20-million more doses of the Pfizer vaccine, and health officials in this province are hoping to know more about how that will affect this province in the coming days.
Health Minister Dr. John Haggie says there is a health ministers meeting coming up later this week, where he hopes to get an update on when we will be receiving our share of that 20-million.
The minister explains that we get 1.4 per cent of any national deliveries, which is determined by our population. That equals out to about 280,000 extra doses or one-third of our eligible population.
