A man from the Goulds has been charged with criminal negligence causing death in connection with a fatal crash near Mount Pearl.
Thirty-eight-year-old Jonathan Nash was the driver of a car that went off the road just before 3 a.m. last November 28.
Nash was not seriously hurt but his passenger, 49-year-old Kelly Winsor, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It happened along the stretch of road that leads from Pitts Memorial Drive toward Brookfield Road.
Nash faces charges of impaired driving causing death, criminal negligence causing death and dangerous driving.
He’s expected to enter pleas when his case is called again next month.
