Firefighters, police and rescue crews responded to a house fire in Mount Pearl this afternoon.

The blaze on Baffin Drive sent dark smoke billowing that could be seen from various vantage points in the metro area.

Reports from the scene indicate crews had to deal with a propane tank that exploded shortly after their arrival.

It’s not clear if anyone has been injured in the fire.
