The Salmonier Nature Park has helped with the rehabilitation of a bald eagle that had run into some trouble.
The emaciated bird of prey was recovered by vets from the Baccalieu Trail Animal Hospital in Bay Roberts and Fisheries, Forestry and Agrifoods Conservation officers back in June.
The Friends of Salmonier Nature Park recently tweeted out that the bird was released back into the wild on July 29, after a period of rehabilitation at the park.
On June 21, this eagle was found emaciated. It was recovered by vets from the Baccalieu Trail Animal Hospital and FFA Conservation Officers. After care at the Salmonier Nature Park, on July 29 it was released where it was believed to have a mate waiting for its return. #GovNL pic.twitter.com/x0IJuMLTZ5
