Two people who became lost while berry-picking near St. John’s Friday afternoon are safe and sound. The man and woman were in the woods in the Pouch Cove area when they realized they couldn’t find their way out. However, they were able to call for help with a cellphone.
The RNC and police dog Gunner tracked the scent and located the pair within an hour.
RNC spokesman Const. James Cadigan says thick fog in the area was a factor in the people becoming lost.
