A section of Barters Hill in downtown St. John’s will be closed for almost a week due to damage from Friday night’s heavy rain.
The area affected is between Central Street/Flower Hill and Cabot Street.
The city says that section of Barters Hill is expected to be closed up until 4 p.m. next Friday.
Rainfall amounts ranged from 50 millimetres in Paradise and the Pippy Park area of St. John’s, to less than 20 millimetres recorded at St. John’s International Airport.
