Memorial University has officially set the dates by which students, faculty, and staff must receive their first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
Memorial says students, faculty, staff, and visitors must receive their first dose of an approved vaccine by September 7, and the second dose by October 15. As of this week, masks must be worn in public indoor places on all Memorial campuses.
Accommodations are being granted based on medical, cultural, or religious reasons. However, the university says the exemption process is still being finalized.
Questions have also been raised about how the university intends to request and collect vaccination information. Memorial says details on that process will be soon be shared.
Updates and information on Memorial’s pandemic response is available on the university’s website.
