The RNC is warning the public about the potential presence of fentanyl in the community.
Officers responded to a home on Howlett Avenue in St. John’s late last night, and received informaiton that the illicit drugs found at the scene may have contained fentanyl.
Police are warning of the life-threatening consequences of ingesting fentanyl. Even a miniscule amount of the opioid can be fatal.
In the meantime each of the regional health authorities has Naloxone kits available that can help people from overdose.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
