Government is reminding the public to remain vigilant and exercise caution with outdoor fires. Despite the start of fall, weather conditions can still contribute to the risk of forest fires. The forest fire season for the province is in effect until September 30.
A permit to burn is required until that time for burning grass, brush and other materials.
A permit is not required for backyard fires, recreational campfires and boil-ups on forest land.
To report a wildfire, call 1-866-709-FIRE (3473)
