The regional health authorities are providing an update on services after being impacted by the cyberattack.
In Eastern Health, outpatient blood collection and medical imaging services are resuming on Monday, November 15. Anyone with an appointment booked for Monday and onward should proceed to their appointment as normal. People with cancelled medical imaging appointments will be contacted directly if their appointment is going ahead.
Those who have missed a blood collection appointment on the Avalon including St. John’s must call to rebook their blood collection appointment. Patients must bring their laboratory requisition to the appointment as physicians aren’t able to submit requisitions. Online bookings are also resuming on Monday Those outside the Avalon will be contacted directly.
Central Health
In Central Health resuming services include medical imaging, laboratory, surgical, endoscopy, out-patient ambulatory, and family physician and nurse practitioner services.
Anyone with an appointment booked for these services for Monday are asked to proceed to their appointment, while anyone who missed an appointment due to the outage will be contacted.
Western Health
Meanwhile, Western Health is resuming medical imaging and blood collection services. They have resumed regular appointments and patients are no longer being called to remind them of their appointment time for these services.
Labrador-Grenfell
All previously impacted services in Labrador-Grenfell health will be fully operational on Monday and patients will be contacted to reschedule appointments.
