The Town of Marystown’s Junior Firefighter Program wrapped up over the weekend.
The program, just finishing its fifth running, encourages high school students to get involved with the volunteer fire department as they graduate.
This year’s class completed a day drill on Saturday, displaying what they learned by running smokehouse runs, pump operations and vehicle fires.
The next youth program is scheduled to start in September of 2022. Any high school students interested in the program can submit an application.
Our Juniors completed a Drill this morning before the rain moved in. They completed Smokehouse Runs, Pump Operations, Vehicle Fires & more training activities. Thank you to the Juniors, their parents, our Firefighters & all sponsors for making the program the success that it is! pic.twitter.com/fkOWRiEMQo
