A CBS man is facing sexual violence charges for multiple alleged incidents involving a minor.

In September of 2021, the RNC received a report of multiple incidents of sexual assault having occurred in Conception Bay South from November 2018 to June 2020.

The victim was a youth at the time of the offence, and the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault team was engaged to investigate.

On June 2 of this year, police arrested a 69-year-old man in connection with the incidents on charges of sexual interference, exposure of genitals and sexual assault.

He was released from custody on conditions and is set to appear in court at a later date.
