A Newfoundlander who made waves across the country as part of Canada’s Got Talent says being on the show has opened up many doors for them.

Kellie Loder finished second on the finale of the show last month, gaining support from people across the country.

Loder says they have been seeing growth in their career year over year, and things have really “exploded” after being on the national TV program.

The singer is playing festivals and opening for acts such as Chantal Kreviazuk.

Loder says Kreviazuk is the one who reached out about performing.

Kreviazuk asked Loder what they’re doing on August 13, to which Loder replied “whatever you’re doing.” As well, the singers will also be sharing a stage on Canada Day. Loder says since the CGA appearance everything they’ve wanted is “right there now.”
