A new poll from the Angus Reid Institute shows that an overwhelming number of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians feel the provincial government is doing a poor job at managing the health care system.
According to data provided by the institute, between March of 2020 and June 2021 public opinion on health care was pretty much split down the middle between those who think government is doing a good job with health care, and those who think they are doing a poor job.
However, beginning in September of last year the institute began recording a significant decline in public opinion.

Now, 83 per cent of respondents believe the province is doing a poor or very poor job at managing health care, and 15 per cent believe they are doing a good or very good job.
Those numbers are above the national average of options on health care, which the institute says are at their lowest levels in eight years.
They say 72 per cent of Canadians are critical of their province’s handling of health care, while 25 per cent think their province is handling it well.
