A frustrating start to the park season in Labrador City, as recently-opened public facilities were almost immediately struck by vandalism.
Just one day after public restrooms in Centennial Park opened for the summer, the Town took to its Facebook page saying they’ve already had to deal with the aftermath of vandals.
Photos show damage to the facility’s front door knob, a garbage can overturned, and paper strewn across the floor. Toilet paper, paper towel rolls, and a plunger were jammed into the toilet bowl.
The Town says the restrooms are there for all residents to use, but unless respect is shown to the facilities, that privilege may be revoked.
